Gayle brings a wealth of knowledge and HR expertise to UCDH as an ELR Consultant 4. Prior to joining the UCDH ELR Team in March 2022, Gayle worked as a federal employee for 21 years as a Senior Labor Management and Employee Relations Specialist. She began her career as a Clerk Typist in Germany and subsequently moved within the ranks, with her government career culminating with the United States Army in Fort Hood, Texas. She worked with the United States Air Force in Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado, and the Department of Defense Education Activity-Europe (DODEA) in Sembach, Germany before returning back to the Department of Army at Fort Hood.

Gayle's HR experience encompasses staffing and recruitment, classification, position management, and employee and labor relations. She is a certified Mediator through the Justice Center of Atlanta. In her experiences with the federal government, she was the subject matter expert for worker’s compensation, disability and retirement, and mentored and taught supervisors and managers on all employee-related matters. Gayle has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Human Resources management curriculum from the Graduate School USA (formally USDA Grad School), and many other HR-related certificates obtained throughout her HR Career.

Gayle currently resides in Liberty Hill, Texas and enjoys her time traveling, painting, baking, and spending time as a grandparent, when necessary.
