UC Employee Benefits Survey – Launches Week of March 17

This month, UC Systemwide Human Resources will collaborate with Deloitte Consulting LLP to conduct a comprehensive employee benefits survey for faculty and staff. Emails to participate will launch the week of March 17, 2025.

Continue Your Family’s UC Benefits

Some dependent relationships may change over time, and family member eligibility reverification ensures that only those family members who are eligible continue to be enrolled.

New Benefits Eligibility Rules for Rehired Retirees

Under new guidelines, retirees who return to UC employment within 26 weeks (6 months) of retirement and meet specific eligibility criteria will be offered the "Mid-level" faculty/staff benefits package instead of retiree medical benefits. UC retiree medical benefits will be suspended for any rehired retiree who is offered faculty/staff benefits, regardless of whether they enroll.

Support Colleagues Affected by the LA Wildfires

UC has established a new, temporary Systemwide Wildfire Catastrophic Leave Bank to support UC employees affected by the wildfires in the greater Los Angeles region. Donate vacation or PTO by March 31.

Pathway to Retirement Webcast

UC Davis is offering a Pathway to Retirement webcast to help employees plan for financial security and enjoy all that retirement brings. The webcast will cover the following planning essentials, as well as a Q&A session for general questions.

Student Loan Forgiveness for Employees

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program offers UC Davis employees the opportunity to have their federal loan balances forgiven after 120 qualifying monthly payments.

You have until Dec. 31, 2024, to incur eligible Health FSA expenses (including many health-related products you purchase over the counter) for the 2024 plan year. You can carry over up to $640 to 2025 — anything over that amount will be forfeited.
