Important Information for the Government Shutdown

The following is what the State of California is currently communicating to recipients. Please note that information is actively changing:

"No new federal funding supporting programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known as CalFresh in California, amongst other CDSS programs, will be provided until the President and" Congress take action. At this point, November CalFresh benefits will not be issued if there is no resolution."

Please note that you can still apply for CalFresh! Applications are still being accepted, and you could receive backpay if approved for CalFresh if benefits are delayed but later approved.

If you or someone you know is in need of food support, please visit this resource from the Aggie Compass and our Food and Nutrition Resources page.
