Job Builder Enhancement at UC Davis Health Automates UCPath Updates
Beginning Oct. 10, Job Builder will automatically make certain position updates weekly, improving data accuracy and eliminating the need to manually update occupied job descriptions when specific data changes in UCPath.
The enhancement will initially apply only to UC Davis Health (excluding SOM and SON), but may be implemented at the Davis campus (including SOM and SON) at a later date.
No action is required on your part.
What Is Updated Automatically
Changes to Department Assignments
When the department assigned to an occupied position changes in UCPath (i.e., an occupied position transfers from one department to another), the department associated with its Job Builder record and job description will automatically update. This will help keep job descriptions stored in the Department Library node accurate without requiring a change request or manual update.
Please note: This does not apply to transfers between business units, such as a position moving between the School of Medicine or School of Nursing (DVCMP) and DVMED.
Changes to Reports To and FTE
Changes to the following information in UCPath will also automatically update in Job Builder:
- Reports To name and title
- Reports To UCPath Position Number
- Position FTE
Please note:Only the Reports To UCPath Position Number appears on the employee’s job description, but the other fields will also be automatically updated in Job Builder.
