In a year defined by growth, momentum, and a renewed focus on the employee experience, Learning and Organizational Development played a central role in supporting the people who power UC Davis.

Across campus and UC Davis Health, L&OD delivered high-impact services that reached thousands of employees—strengthening learning, improving systems, and helping teams succeed.
Throughout 2025, L&OD supported 607 instructor-led courses, welcomed 2,317 new hires, and recorded 5,421 supervisor and manager course completions, underscoring the rising demand for professional development across the university.
Learning opportunities continued to expand, with 142 instructor-led sessions serving nearly 700 employees, alongside 60 new eCourses and 111 updated modules added to the learning catalog. Learners reported strong outcomes, with 96% saying their objectives were met and 76% rating their sessions as excellent.
Individual development also remained a priority, reflected in 100 career coaching clients receiving one-on-one support.
Organizational Development continued partnering with units across UC Davis, completing 22 consulting engagements spanning strategic planning, leadership effectiveness, team development, culture work, organizational design, and process improvement. Clients expressed strong confidence in these services, reporting 100% satisfaction and 100% willingness to recommend L&OD’s consulting support to colleagues.
Reflecting on the year, executive director of Learning and Organizational Development, Dr. Annalisa Teixeira, noted: “Behind these accomplishments is a simple commitment: to empower employees and leaders to do their best work. L&OD remains dedicated to equipping our workforce with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive and navigate change—whether through orientation, training, mentoring, coaching, or strategic guidance.”
