External Fellowships for Graduate Students: Policy, Procedure, and Best Practices

This elective class will provide an overview of the policies and procedures associated with external fellowships for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.

This course expands upon the concepts introduced in Academic Graduate Student Funding and Financial Management for Staff.  Attendees will learn: about the role and functions of the Graduate Studies External Fellowships Team; how to assist graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to find and apply for external fellowships; about the entire award life cycle and the related business processes, including Cayuse SP instructions specific to proposals and awards routing to Graduate Studies; and pre- and post-award best practices.
