2017 UC Davis Group Mentoring Program

Our UC Davis community has consistently expressed interest in mentoring as a professional career development tool, and the Talent Management Center of Expertise is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2017 UC Davis Group Mentoring Program; applications will be accepted through February 10, 2017. After a successful 2016 pilot program with over 30 mentees, we are offering the 2017 program for up to 60 mentees. This six-month program, held at the Davis and Sacramento locations, consists of approximately 32 hours, inclusive of professional development activities and estimated travel time. We anticipate great interest in the 2017 program, designed to promote a culture of leading by example and support professional development, and we look forward to participation from across the UC Davis organization.

2017 Program Components and Timeline

  • Applications accepted through February 10
  • Applicants will be  notified of status – February 17
  • Orientation – March 6 in Sacramento
  • Workshops – June 14 in Davis and August 15 in Sacramento
  • Monthly small group mentoring meetings – Dates and locations will vary per group
  • Time commitment – approximately 32 hours over six months (inclusive of travel time)

How to Apply


  • Up to 60 mentees will be selected
  • Mentee applicants – up to PSS Grade 5, career status, at least one year with UC Davis


  • Mentors – PSS Grade 5 and above, career status, at least one year with UC Davis
