On-Line Payroll Time Reporting System (OPTRS)

Course Description

This lecture/lab is required for all OPTRS Preparers and Reviewers. PPS Payroll Policy and Introduction is required prior to taking this course. This lab covers on-line payroll time reporting processes, the how, when and why of completing payroll time reporting worksheets including current payroll time reporting, adjustment worksheets, payroll one-time payments, and payroll expense transfers. It also includes a review of basic payroll terminology, calendars, input schedules as well as the roles and responsibilities of preparers and reviewers.

Participants are required to submit a departmental signed copy of their PPS Access/Change Application to the PPS Administrator in Accounting and Financial Services, Payroll Division prior to the day of the class in order to attend. Only employees who will be responsible for PPS/OPTRS administrative functions/transactions will be permitted to attend due to the confidential information accessed in the course.
