Course Description

Most managers want to support employee development, but many do not know the best ways to do so. This course offers simple proven techniques to enhance development discussions with employees. One of the many outcomes of effective employee development may include improved retention, thereby sustaining expertise and organizational effectiveness. In this course participants will:

  • Explore roles and responsibilities for supporting employee development
  • Review how to hold an effective development discussion
  • Practice holding a development discussion
  • Examine tools for holding development discussions
