Participants in this course will learn how to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults. Topics include recognizing and responding to an emergency, caring for a person who is choking, recognizing the signals of a breathing emergency, recognizing the signals of a cardiac emergency, giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using an automatic external defibrilator (AED). At the end of the course, participants will receive a CPR/AED-Adult and Child certificate which will be valid for one year.
