The Understanding Diversity Series can also be taken in an on-line format. The on-line workshop will span six weeks beginning with a face-to-face orientation. Following the orientation, participants will work together through a series of on-line interactive exercises, discussions and reading materials. Some experience in navigating the Internet is helpful; the orientation session will provide specific information about the course content and how to navigate through the course web site.
Participants must sign up to participate in the full six weeks of the course, and a certificate will be awarded upon completion of the series. The amount of time involved in completing the on-line series is comparable to the amount of course time involved in the face-to-face series listed above. The course content of each series is also comparable. The advantage of the on-line format, especially for those who can't easily be away from the office, will be the flexibility of participating in the workshop from one's computer.
Space is limited to 15 people.
Note: This course requires that you have a UCDLoginID and Kerberos password BEFORE attending the class. You can check that you have this by going to: http://computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu.
