Workers' Compensation Awareness for Supervisors

This course helps participants gain a better understanding of Workers' Compensation, basic components of Workers' Compensation law and application of university polices and procedures relating to industrial injuries. It is the department's responsibility to ensure prompt medical treatment and provide employees with appropriate forms and information when an on-the-job injury occurs. Focus will be on when to file a claim, how to obtain medical treatment, what injuries are compensable under Workers' Compensation law, interpretation of university policies and benefits as they relate to Workers' Compensation, and how to coordinate with the Workers' Compensation Unit for effective case management.
